Desired Position:

My desired position would be within the assisted living, home care, and medical field as a Certified Nursing Assistant or NAC, with potential future learning and advancement opportunities within the company. I have a current and up to date CPR/First Aid card, and my certifications in both HIV/AIDS and Dementia. I work well with others as a leader, independently or as part of a team.

I assist residents with Activities of daily living such as, bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. I use a gait belt to transfer them to their wheelchair or into bed, and I also escort them to and from daily meals.

Education:

I received my high school diploma in January 2003 from Bates Technical College in Tacoma, WA. I attend Everest University’s Tampa/Brandon campus online, where I have completed courses in computer programming, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, and Dream Weaver. I am currently working towards my Associate’s Degree in Computer Information Science, and my graduation date is set for fall 2014.
 I obtained my CNA training through Excel Health Careers in Tacoma, WA, and my clinical experience/hours took place at the Manor Care Retirement Home in Gig Harbor, WA.
